This has been really busy year so far, in both my personal and professional life. There will be lots of exciting things to share in the next few months. Like a new logo and new business cards!
In the meantime, I have recently returned from Spain and it was the perfect way to revive my creativity. The colors, textures, even the food! My husband and two dear friends, we went from Madrid to Seville to Granada to Valencia and returned to Madrid. It's hard to pick a favorite city. Here are a few photos and it was very very difficult to down select just just these few. So much magic and romance. Any of these place would be a perfect honeymoon destination.
In Seville, you could find flamenco and sevillana (a local dance), performed on the street, and beautiful architecture. The Seville cathedral is a perfect place to get lost in. At the cathedral is a courtyard filled with orange trees, which were blossoming and the air smelled divine. The photos show Alcazar, a formal royal palace.
We stopped briefly in the small city of Ronda. A city built on top of cliffs and jaw dropping views of the Spanish countryside.
Granada is lovely city and one of the most famous things about it is the Alhambra. A giant place/fortress complex. I do mean giant, it's huge, and stunning. It could be safely said that I went a little camera happy... about 350+ photos... maybe more...
Last but not least was Valencia! Go there! If you can, time it when the Fallas is going on! Its a huge celebration that the entire comunidad of Valencia participates it. People of all ages parade in traditional, local clothing. There are sculptures (known as fallas) on what feels like every other street. These are made of paper mache, wood and anything else that burns... because at the end of the multi day festival all of these works of art go up in fireworks and flames.
