It has been a long month and a half. My grandmother passed away a week after celebrating her 70th wedding anniversary with my grandfather. She was 5 days short of her 93rd birthday. 93 years... I'm not even sure how to process living that long and all the things one sees and experiences. Especially when you consider the rapid changes that have occurred even in the last 40 years. She was a very sweet lady who never said a bad word about anyone. She loved cooking, like making pasta and was able to do it until the last 5 years of her life. I miss her so very much.

In happier news my sister-in-law got married! The wedding was so much fun! The weather in New York held up beautifully and I embarrassed myself by crying my eyes out. I'll have to get a hold of the names of the photographer and the DJ. Both I would recommend highly. The venue was the Davenport Club in New Rochelle. It was a beautiful location and the staff was top notch. If you are looking for venues in the New York City area, check them out!

(Pssst, please ignore the poor quality of the iPhone photo. I haven't had a chance to prep for a proper photo shoot)
